Kiwi golfer Danny Lee will not play in December's New Zealand Open, despite his fifth-placed finish in the Singapore Open securing his card on next year's European Tour.
Lee's priority has been on retaining his Tour card before committing to coming home to the NZ Open at Clearwater.
Having been outside the 115 player cutoff, his 160-thousand Euro purse is more than enough to keep him on the Tour, putting him inside the top 85.
He says he played really well this week and it means a lot to him.
He's now setting his sights on earning a place in the prestigious seasoning ending race to Dubai tournament, which includes the top 60 players on the European Tour money list, held in Malaysia.
