Kiwi golfer Danny Lee has qualified for his first major of the year after a solid performance at the Canadian Open.
Lee finished in a tie of 32nd following a final round four-under 68, 11 shots behind winner Jhonattan Vegas who defeated American Charley Hoffman in a playoff.
Lee earned US$30,480 for his performance and a spot in the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow next month. Lee qualifies after sitting in the top 70 on the PGA Tour money list over the last 12 months.
It's his first major of the year after missing out on the previous three major tournaments. Lee has made the cut the last two years at the PGA Championship.
Ryan Fox is also set to receive an invite with players inside the world's top 100 granted entry in recent years at the PGA Championship. Fox was ranked 98th in the world in the latest rankings.
