A convincing second-round turnaround has seen Kiwi golfer Danny Lee recover to eighth place in the latest PGA event in Malaysia.
An erratic first round in Kuala Lumpur - including two bogies, two double bogies and a triple bogey - left Lee tied 60th and nine shots off the lead.
But a strong second-round of seven-under-par 65 has seen him jump back up to a share of eighth, seven shots off leader Pat Perez of the United States.
Meanwhile, star New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko slipped well down the leaderboard in her second round in Incheon, South Korea.
The 20-year-old former world No.1 ended the first round two shots off the pace and in a share of ninth place, but after the second sits in a share of 25th and eight strokes behind.
