Auckland professionals Kevin Chun and Clarke Osborne and Australians Paul Marantz and Peter Wilson earned starts in the NZ PGA Championship at Clearwater after heading the pre-qualifying field at Shirley (Christchurch) yesterday.
Chun, a New Zealand Eisenhower amateur representative in 2004, fired the best round, a six-under 66, while Marantz carded 67 and Wilson and Osborne both had 68.
No playoff was needed with only four spots available for the 57 who attempted to pre-qualify at the Christchurch Golf Club.
