Golf: Campbell struggling at the Volvo Masters

Michael Campbell is five shots off the pace after the first round of golf's European tour finale in Spain.

The US Open champion has carded a one over par 72 at the Volvo Masters at Valderrama in Spain, and is five shots adrift of joint leaders Colin Montgomerie and England's Ian Poulter, who both shot a round of 67.

Campbell is battling Montgomerie for the European Order of Merit title, and needs to win the tournament or finish second ahead of Montgomerie to pip the Scot for the coveted prize.
