KEY POINTS:
New Zealand golfer Michael Campbell was 11 shots off the lead after two rounds at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio this morning (NZ time).
Campbell, who was in a tie for 21st place after the first round, shot a four-over-par 74 to be at five over par for the tournament.
The 2005 US Open champion recovered well after a bogey at his second hole and a double bogey at the third. He dropped one more shot, at the 10th hole, but was unable to birdie any holes today.
He was in a tie for 50th place, well off the pace set by South African Rory Sabbatini, who shot his second consecutive round of three-under-par 67.
Much of the field were still to complete their second round.
