Michael Campbell finished in a share of 60th place at the BMW International Open in Cologne after carding a three over par 75 in the final round of the European Tour event.
Campbell had climbed to a share of 13th place after a four under par 68 in round two before fading over the weekend, but will still take some satisfaction from making just his second cut this year at the Gut Larchenhof Golf Club.
The former US Open champion finished on a three over par total, 14 shots back from England's Danny Willett and Australia's Marcus Fraser who played four extra holes before Willet prevailed.
The 43-year-old Campbell, who is currently 266th on the Race to Dubai standings, recorded his best finish for 2012 by beating a tie for 63rd at the Malaysian Open in April.
Across the Atlantic on the PGA Tour, New Zealand No 1 Danny Lee carded a three over par 73 in round three of the Travelers Championship in Connecticut to finish in a share of 82nd place, missing the three round cut for the event.
