KEY POINTS:
ST ANDREW'S, Scotland - A recent strong run has put New Zealand golfer Michael Campbell back in the top 200 in the world rankings.
Campbell's third place in the British Masters in England on the weekend has seen him jump 65 spots to 191st on this week's revised rankings.
It was Campbell's second straight third placing on the European Tour. The 2005 US Open champion had a wobbly start to the season, missing the cut at 10 of 13 tournaments but turned things around to see weekend play in his last seven events.
Campbell's final tournament of the year is at this week's US$5 million ($7.39 million) Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland.
Mark Brown also improved his world ranking and moved up four places to 81st after a fifth in the Asian Tour's Japan Open.
Brown produced four of the best rounds of his career in carding scores of 66 68 and a pair of closing 67s to finish just four shots behind Japan's Hideto Tahihara.
Brown collected a prize cheque of US$74,504 that has helped extend his lead at the top of the Asian Tour's money list.
The Wellington player has now earned US$725,597 from eight Asian events and is now US$185,003 ahead of nearest rival Jeev Milka Singh of India.
But while Campbell and Brown have improved their world ranking David Smail has dropped four spots to 124th.
Biggest mover on the rankings released in London on Monday morning was Colombian sensation Camillo Villegas who jumped 10 places to Number Seven in the world after claiming the season-ending Tour Championship on the US Tour.
