Eddie Burgess will represent New Zealand at the Eisenhower Trophy world amateur golf championships for a second time, should Carl Brooking fail to prove his fitness this weekend.
Burgess, the New Zealand and South Island amateur matchplay champion, was named yesterday as the replacement for Brooking, who has been battling a rib injury.
Burgess, who played in the 1998 New Zealand Eisenhower team in Chile where the team finished a disappointing 21st, was in contention for the original squad for the championships in Germany starting on August 31
