Mark Brown was named New Zealand Golfer of the Year at the 2009 awards.
Brown also picked up the Player of the Year prize at the NZ Golf Awards in Queenstown.
The accolades followed Brown's victory on the Australasian Tour Order of Merit, back-to-back wins at the Johnnie Walker Classic and Sail Open in India and his highest world ranking at number 64.
Young gun Danny Lee was also a double winner, with the Male Amateur of the Year and Achievement of the Year awards.
The Female Amateur of the Year title went to Canterbury's Dana Kim.
