Golf: Brooky makes the cut at US Open golf

Lynnette Brooky has made the cut at the US Open women's golf championship in Newport, Rhode Island.

Brooky, who won the Spanish Open on this year's European women's tour, just squeezed inside the cut line after her second successive round of four-over 75. Yesterday, she had one birdie and five bogeys.

She is 10 shots behind joint leaders, world No 1 Annika Sorenstam of Sweden and American Pat Hurst.
