New Zealand Cathryn Bristow took advantage of some early soft course conditions to take the first-round lead at the Pennsylvania Classic at Felicita Mountain Resort.
Bristow's six-under 66 her a one shot advantage over Jennifer Johnson and Lyndsay McBride.
Jane Rah holds fourth place after shooting four-under 68, while eight players are tied for fifth at three-under.
Playing in the morning wave of tee times, Bristow bogeyed her first hole, the par-4 10th. But she strung together three straight birdies twice - first at 13, 14, and 15, and then again at four, five and six - as part of a total birdie binge of eight.
