New Zealand golfer Caroline Bon remained in contention to earn a place on next year's Ladies European Tour after an improved second round in Spain.
Northlander Bon, this year's New Zealand amateur champion, climbed from 82nd to 55th after her eight-over 79 on the North Course with a one-over 74 on the South Course at the La Manga club in Los Belones, Cartagena.
The other New Zealand hopeful, Auckland's Wendy Hawkes, has plunged from contention. She shot 82 to be 23-over in 93rd and last place.
