Northland golf professional Caroline Bon has slipped to a share of eighth after two rounds of pre-qualifying in Spain for the 2012 Ladies European Tour.
The Kiwi, who had a one under par 72 at the La Manga South Course in round one, hit a two over par 73 at the La Manga North Course in round two to stay in touch with leader Martina Gillen on four under.
The former New Zealand strokeplay champion struggled again on the back nine where she dropped five shots in her final eight holes to fall five places on the leaderboard to a one over par total.
The 24-year-old, in her second year as a professional, needs to finish inside the top 35 after four rounds to progress to the final qualification for the Ladies European Tout.
