Golf: Ben Campbell best of NZers

Ben Campbell is the best of the New Zealanders after the first round of the Asian amateur championship in Japan.

Campbell fired an even par one-under 71 after making five birdies in his round with four dropped shots to be in a share of 17th place.

He is four shots off the lead of Japan's Yosuke Asaji who shot a five-under 67 to be one shot ahead of a group of four players including Australia's Jake Higginbottom.
