New Zealand golfer Steven Alker has picked up his second top 25 finish of the season on the PGA Tour today.
Alker shot a final round two-under par 69 to finish in a tie for 23rd at the Barbasol Championship in Alabama, his fourth top 30 finish in his past seven tournaments.
Although overshadowed by the notable efforts of Ryan Fox and Lydia Ko, Alker's round continued a fine string of form, with the Hamilton professional being solid yet unspectacular in his first full PGA Tour season since 2003.
Alker strung three birdies together on the back nine to briefly leap into the top ten before bogeying 14 and 15 to fall back on the leaderboard, finishing at nine-under.
American Scott Piercy won the tournament by three shots at 19-under par.
