Kiwi golfer Steven Alker shot a one-under 71 in his third round at the Mexico Championship to sit in a share of 29th place.
The Hamilton professional is two-under for the week at the Web.com Tour tournament at the El Bosque Golf Club in Leon, seven strokes back from co-leaders Carlos Ortiz and Nathan Green. Alker's third round included three birdies and two bogeys today.
Alker came in to the tournament in a share of 96th on the second-tier tour's order of merit and will look to a strong finish in his fourth round tonight.
