Steven Alker has produced a disappointing back nine to fade in the standings during the final round of the Humana Challenge on the PGA Tour in California.
The Kiwi professional began the day in a share of 16th but eventually carded a three-over 75 today as he finished the tournament in a share of 59th at 10-under.
Alker, who was projected to jump four places in the FedEx Cup standings to 143rd, made two bogeys and a double during his back nine at the PGA West Palmer Course. Earlier, he began with two birdies during his first six holes but a bogey at the ninth started off his dreadful run home.
Fellow Kiwi Danny Lee fired an even-par 72 during his final round as he ended the tournament, won by Bill Haas who finished at 22-under, in a tie for 64th at nine-under.
Lee was projected to slide a few spots in the FedEx Cup standings to 32nd. Manawatu's Tim Wilkinson missed the cut.
