A gem-encrusted, luxury golf club has been unveiled at London's Harrods department store.
The one-off Odyssey 2-Ball putter contains an 18-carat white gold head, 240 rubies and 378 diamonds. It went on sale for £100,000 ($NZ212,000), under tight security.
The idea to create Odyssey's most exclusive product ever was initially conceived following a social game of golf involving renowned jeweller Theo Fennell and Odyssey & Callaway's EMEA Marketing Director Nick McInally.
"This is one of the most striking golf clubs ever created, but it is still a putter that we hope will help the eventual owner hole more putts... if he or she is brave enough to use it," McInally says.
McInally notes that the interest from around the world has been "incredible" but he is confident that they are unlikely to go into mass production with this particular model.
"While we have sold more than 4 million 2-Ball putters over the last ten years, this particular version is truly one-of-a-kind," he says.
