Leading Kiwi golfers Danny Lee and Ryan Fox will take contrasting build-ups into the fourth and final major of the year in Quail Hollow, Charlotte.
New Zealand No.1 Lee has completed just one tournament in the last month leading up to the PGA Championship starting on Thursday, which will be his only tilt at a major in 2017.
The 27-year-old was forced to pull out of the John Deere Classic in Illinois in early July because of a wrist complaint.
Texas-based Lee returned to the course a fortnight later, where his tie for 32nd place at the Canadian Open was just enough to book a third straight appearance at the PGA Championship.
He has finished 43rd and 56th previously.
