US Amateur Golf Champion Danny Lee is now officially a New Zealander.
Last week Lee surpassed Tiger Woods to become the youngest person ever to win the US Amateur Golf Championship.
Around 50 people collected at Rotorua's Springfield Golf Course to support the 18-year-old as he was given New Zealand citizenship .
He will now be available to play for New Zealand in the Eisenhower Trophy in October.
The amateur golfing competition in Adelaide will teams of three from all around the world playing for the illustrious title.
