Glenn and Sara, who got married in 2010, have faced several obstacles in their bid to start a family.
With the sports star already having undergone a vasectomy in 2003, and no chance of a reversal, doctors had to perform an invasive procedure, which involved extracting sperm from his testicles.
Meanwhile, Sara underwent IVF in an effort to produce a batch of healthy eggs.
After combining the two, several embryos were created and doctors waited for the perfect time for Sara to receive one.
After several months of monitoring her hormones doctors made their first attempt at implanting one of the embryos, but sadly it did not work.
It wasn't until their second attempt that Sara and Glenn finally got the happy news they were looking for but they kept their exciting news unwraps, even from James and Holly, until a few days ago.
'We consider ourselves extremely lucky,' Sara said.
The brunette beauty is now three months pregnant and due to welcome the tiny tot into the world in October this year.
But, despite their excitement, the first trimester hasn't been plain sailing as Sara has been plagued with morning sickness and 'crazy' hormones.
She explained: 'I've been throwing up every day for the last three months. As well as acting weirder and more crazy than usual, which, of course, is just the hormones.'
The couple met during the 2009 Indian Premier League, a year after Glen lost Jane, and got together shortly afterwards.
However, the sportsman edged with caution as he was still grieving the loss of Jane, whom he married in 1997.
Jane sadly lost her battle with breast cancer, aged just 42, due to complications following a surgery.
