YOKOHAMA, Japan (AP) Shunsuke Nakamura scored twice Wednesday as Yokohama F Marinos beat Urawa Reds 3-0 to move to the top of the J-League standings.
Nakamura opened the scoring in the 26th minute with his seventh goal of the season and Marquinhos doubled the lead two minutes later with his 16th.
Nakamura completed the scoring with a right-foot shot from the top of the area that beat Urawa goalkeeper Nobuhiro Kato.
Yokohama improved to 47 points with 11 games left, three ahead of second-place Sanfrecce Hiroshima and four ahead of third-place Reds.
Also, Yoshifumi Kashiwa and Kazunari Hosaka scored as Ventoret Kofu beat Hiroshima 2-0, while Nagoya Grampus defeated last-place Oita Trinita on a pair of goals from Australian player Josh Kennedy and Toshiyuki Takagi scored a hat trick as Shimizu S-Pulse beat Kashima Antlers 4-3.
