The Women's Soccer Association of New Zealand (WSANZ) has disbanded after becoming part of the national body.
WSANZ has wound up its organisation and will operate under New Zealand Soccer (NZS) following a meeting in Wellington recently.
Allan McLarin, WSANZ president, said a series of changes within NZS, including the appointment of Michele Cox as director of women's football, justified the decision to support the move.
NZS's board has acknowledged women's soccer as the code's main priority over the next three years, with the initial focus on next year's Fifa under-20 World Cup in Russia.
