All Whites defender Winston Reid has been taken to hospital after being carried off on a stretcher during the first-half of West Ham's Premier League clash at Swansea.
Swansea were 1-0 ahead inside eight minutes through Ki Sung-Yeung's low strike when Reid bravely intervened at a goalmouth scramble to avoid West Ham falling 2-0 down.
The defender forced his way ahead of Swansea's Mike van der Hoorn before a double block by goalkeeper Adrian and defender Pablo Zabaleta.
However, replays showed Reid's foot appeared to lodge in the ground and he remained on the deck for over five minutes as West Ham took no chances on their centre-back's injury.
