The Wellington Phoenix have been held to a 1-1 draw by last-placed Brisbane Roar at Sky Stadium in Wellington.
The Phoenix, with only one win in their last five games, would have been desperate to dispatch the A-League cellar dwellers, who have lost 11 of their 15 games this season.
And after a first half in which the hosts had multiple penalty shouts denied, 20-year-old centre-back Isaac Hughes headed his side in front from a corner on the hour mark. But Brisbane came roaring back and Henry Hore collected a well-taken equaliser 10 minutes later.
The draw left the Phoenix in 10th on the A-League ladder, 14 points behind the table-topping Auckland FC.
