Sydney FC defender Jacob Timpano has been declared fit to take his place in the squad for Sunday's A-League grand final against the Central Coast Mariners at the Sydney Football Stadium.
Timpano injured his thigh playing Adelaide United in the first leg of their major semi-final in Adelaide two weeks ago.
But the 20-year-old was declared fit after Thursday's training session and now faces a nervous wait to see if he will be picked in coach Pierre Littbarski's starting line-up.
Iain Fyfe has been in fine form in Timpano's absence, making Littbarski's decision a difficult one.
"It is going to be a massive game and a big day for the game and also for Sydney FC and I want to be a part of it," Timpano said.
"Whether or not I start is up to Pierre, but I'm just happy I am fit enough to be in the squad and I'm ready to start if I'm picked."
Timpano's inclusion, at the expense of the suspended Mark Milligan, is the only change to the Sydney FC squad that qualified for the grand final two weeks ago.
