The Wellington Phoenix have strengthened their goalkeeping stocks with the signing of Danny Vukovic.
The former Central Coast Mariners custodian arrived in Wellington last night and will challenge for a place in the side to face the Brisbane Roar on Friday evening.
Incumbent Mark Paston says Vukovic is a good signing for the club. He says Vukovic has proven himself to be a top goal keeper in the league and there will be stiff competition.
But Paston says he will be doing everything he can to keep Vukovic out of the starting eleven.
He says his job is to go out and train well and play well so they don't have a decision to make.
