KEY POINTS:
Wellington Phoenix midfielder Vince Lia has signed up with the soccer club for a further two years.
The 22-year-old joined the Phoenix for their inaugural A-League season after two seasons in Melbourne, where he made 24 appearances for the Victory.
He struggled with injury early in the season but went on to be one of the Phoenix's star performers in his 13 matches for the club.
Phoenix chief executive Tony Pignata said he was thrilled to have secured the the former Australia under-17, under-20 and under-23 representative.
"We're happy that Vince has agreed to stay on. He's a young Socceroo - he's played at under-17 and under-20 World Cups and captained the under-20s - so he's got a great pedigree," Pignata said.
"He has struggled with injury but when he did get fit last season he was a very good member of the team and we're looking forward to big things from him in season two."
