Soccer: Hearfield to leave Phoenix

Wellington Phoenix defender Troy Hearfield will leave the club at the end of the season to join fellow A-League soccer club the Central Coast Mariners.

Hearfield, 23, who was out of contract at the Phoenix, has played 69 times for the club in his three seasons in Wellington, mainly as right fullback.

He told Radio Sport he was moving to secure his future.

Meanwhile, FourFourTwo reported Hearfield will also join Indonesian side Pelita Jaya on loan after the Phoenix's involvement in the A-League finals ends.
