The Wellington Phoenix have signed All Whites midfielder Simon Elliott for an unknown period.
Elliott's been picked up as an injury signing - for either Tony Lochead or Toto, who are both injured.
It means he can only play until one of them returns.
Former All White Sam Malcolmson believes it could well result in a permanent contract.
He says in a few weeks if Elliott does it right, the window will re-open and they will be able to sign him.
Meanwhile Gold Coast United have taken their undefeated streak to eight A-League games, beating North Queensland Fury 2-1 and Melbourne Heart';s beaten Newcastle 2-1.
