All Whites and Brisbane Roar forward Kosta Barbarouses has reportedly trialled with a high-profile Italian soccer club.
Australian soccer magazine FourFourTwo has reported that the 21-year-old Wellingtonian has been on trial for a week with an unnamed side and could also be on the radar of English Championship clubs.
Barbarouses, called up for the All Whites' 1-1 draw against China in March, scored 12 goals for the Roar in this year's A-League campaign.
He started in 29 of his 33 games and has flourished under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou.
The former Wellington Phoenix striker formed a deadly partnership with recently-departed Jean Carlos Solorzano during the championship-winning season - the pair grabbed 23 goals between them.
Barbarouses was only four goals shy of Adelaide United's Golden Boot winner Sergio van Dijk, who found the back of the net on 16 occasions.
Solorzano's transfer to Melbourne Victory prompted outgoing Roar CEO Peter McLennan to play down an exodus of players.
"I don't see any reason why we won't have 85-90 percent of this squad over the next 18 months," he told FourFourTwo last month.
Barbarouses should figure in Ricki Herbert's plans when the All Whites take on the Socceroos on June 5 at the Adelaide Oval, which was announced today.
