A decision on Saturday's A-League clash between Melbourne Victory and Wellington Phoenix following today's 7.5 magnitude early morning earthquake is expected within 24 hours.
A Phoenix spokesman said the club was working with Westpac Stadium and taking every precaution ahead of the Saturday evening match.
The stadium was undergoing an assessment on Monday, and the club was expecting to make a statement about the game on Tuesday morning.
After going winless for their first four games, Wellington have produced back- to-back victories against Newcastle Jets and Central Coast Mariners.
They sit sixth on the ladder while the Victory, coming off a 3-0 win over Western Sydney Wanderers, lie fourth with three wins and a draw from six starts.
