Eat your heart out David Beckham - Team Wellington footballer Mario Ilich has scored with a stunning strike from halfway.
Ilich was just inside his own half when his stunning strike led Team Wellington to a 3-1 win over Southern United at David Farrington Park in Wellington on Sunday.
Team Wellington, which sits atop the ISPS Handa Premiership, posted a video of the goal on Twitter.
"@MarioIlich opened the goal scoring for #teedubs this afternoon with this worldy from half way," the post read.
The game ended 3-1 with Team Wellington's goals scored by Ilich, Jack-Henry Sinclair, and Nathanael Hailemariam.
