LISBON, Portugal (AP) Sporting Lisbon won 2-1 at 10-man Braga thanks to Cedric Alves' 86th-minute winner to move into second place in the Portuguese league on Saturday.
Fredy Montero opened for Sporting with a goal in the fifth minute before Braga's Alan da Costa leveled in the 27th.
Braga was reduced a man in the 31st when Aderlan Santos was shown a direct red card.
Sporting's win kept it unbeaten and two points behind leader FC Porto. Braga slipped into third place, two points behind Sporting.
Also, Benfica was held to a 1-1 draw at home by Belenenses.
