The New Zealand under-17 girls' soccer team still have a chance of winning their Paraguay-based quadrangular tournament despite a 4-0 loss to senior club side Universidad Autonoma in Asuncion yesterday.
A classy hat-trick to senior Paraguayan international Dulce Cuevas led the way for UAA, who led an injury-struck New Zealand side 2-0 at halftime and finished with goals in the 78th and 92nd minutes.
The Young Football Ferns face Paraguay tomorrow.
