Soccer: Westlake Boys stun Metro

Westlake Boys High fought back from the disappointment of losing to Mt Albert Grammar on Saturday and the loss of inspirational captain Tommy Smith 15 minutes from time to score an upset 3-2 Chatham Cup win over first division Metro yesterday.

Waitakere City blew a 2-0 halftime lead but still got up to beat University-Mt Wellington 3-2 in extra time.

North Shore United beat Papatoetoe 8-0, with Jeff Campbell bagging three.

Central United led Ellerslie 3-2 at halftime and went on to win 5-2.

Bay Olympic bounced back from their first premier league loss of the season on Saturday to beat non-league Warkworth 5-0, with Reg Davani scoring twice.
