Waitakere City's lucky run with home Chatham Cup ties continued yesterday when they landed a July 25 quarter-final at Fred Taylor Park against the northern premier league side, Tauranga City.
In an all-North Island League clash at Park Island, Napier City Rovers will be at home to Wellington's Olympic, while last year's beaten finalists, Dunedin Technical, have the home advantage over 1966 and 1992 winners Miramar Rangers.
With Bay Olympic drawn at home against Takapuna City, at least one Bluebird premier league side are guaranteed a semifinal spot.
Meanwhile, Central United's scheduled away North Island League game against Lower Hutt City has been postponed until July 25.
Already without five All Whites, Central had Matthew Urlovic, Greg Uhlman and Noah Hickey named in the New Zealand under-23 side to play Australia at North Harbour Stadium tomorrow night and in Christchurch on Saturday.
In another change to this weekend's schedule, Metro will now play Waitakere City at Alby Turner Field on Sunday afternoon. The match was to have been played under lights on Saturday.
Chatham Cup quarter-finals, July 24-25 (home team first): Waitakere City v Tauranga City, Dunedin Technical v Miramar Rangers, Bay Olympic v Takapuna, Napier City Rovers v Olympic.
