Manchester United were sensationally dumped out of the League Cup on Wednesday when they were beaten by Sunderland in a penalty shoot-out in the semi-finals.
United won the second leg 2-1 at Old Trafford for an aggregate score of 3-3 before the Premier League strugglers took victory 2-1 on penalties.
Sunderland will face Manchester City in the final at Wembley on March 2.
