A hat-trick from former Football Ferns soccer striker Rebecca Tegg helped Auckland's Eastern Suburbs bundle current holders Claudelands Rovers out of the women's Knockout Cup a 4-2 quarterfinal win in Hamilton.
Tegg netted twice before halftime and though goals to Liv Chance and Kylie Jens had levelled the scores by the 52nd minute, parity lasted five minutes before an own goal from Libby Williams gave the Aucklanders the lead five minutes later.
Tegg sealed her hat-trick and the win in the 71st minute.
Suburbs will be joined in Tuesday's semifinal draw by Glenfield Rovers who dispatched quarterfinal giant killers Western Springs 11-0 at McFettridge Park on Auckland's North Shore.
Defender Bridgette Armstrong led the scoring onslaught with four goals including a hat-trick in the first 26 minutes.
