Tottenham Hotspur have moved to the top of Group A after shocking Inter Milan 3-1 in their Champions League clash today.
Gareth Bale's electrifying pace was instrumental in all of Tottenham's goals, helping to setup up Rafael van der Vaart, Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko at White Hart Lane.
Van der Vaart fired Spurs into a 18th-minute lead after Luka Modric ripped through the visiting defense following an interchange between Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Bale.
And Bale powered down the left flank in the 61st to help setup Crouch for his fifth goal of the European campaign.
A replica move in the 89th saw Pavlyuchenko net Tottenham's third to prevent any hopes of an Inter comeback after Samuel Eto'o pulled one back.
The win puts Spurs on top of the Group A table tied with Milan on seven points.
Over in Group C Manchester United eased to a 3-0 victory over Turkish side Bursaspor with Darren Fletcher, Gabriel Obertan and Tiago Bebe all finding the back of net.
Meanwhile Roberto Soldado scored a goal in each half to lead Valencia to a 3-0 victory over Rangers.
Soldado opened the scoring at the Mestalla stadium in the 33rd minute by steering a shot through a crowded area and inside the near post.
The Spanish striker added his third of the competition from a counterattack in the 71st minute, swapping passes with Juanma Mata before burying a low shot past goalkeeper Allan McGregor.
Substitute Tino Costa capped the win by guiding a cross home off the far post in the 90th minute.
The victory took Valencia to second in Group C with seven points, while Rangers is third with five points.
