KEY POINTS:
New Zealand Football chief executive Graham Seatter forecasts a bright financial future for the code despite reporting a $189,000 loss at the code's annual congress yesterday.
Seatter revealed the deficit just before the code officially rebranded to New Zealand Football.
Seatter hoped the figure was taken in context against the almost $8 million in activity undertaken by NZF in 2006.
The result is also a $207,000 improvement on the 2005 loss and is the first time since 2003 that the combined finances of NZF and its seven regional federations are in the black.
