North Shore United have been disqualified from the Chatham Cup soccer competition after fielding an ineligible player.
The incident happened during North Shore's 4-0 win last week against Auckland Sunday League side Celtic Supporters, who now face Hibiscus Coast on Sunday.
New Zealand Football said James Meichtry, who scored North Shore's final goal as a second half substitute, had not met dual criteria - having not been registered with North Shore for seven days and not having played in two matches on different days prior to appearing.
