The Football Kingz earned a rare Australian National Soccer League point when drawing 1-1 with the Wollongong Wolves in Auckland today.
It was the Kingz' third draw of a disappointing season which sees them firmly planted at the foot of the 13-team competition after 16 matches.
They were well placed at one stage to push on for just their second win of the season after a first-half strike by Tallan Martin gave them a 1-0 lead at the break.
However, some flaky play by goalkeeper Michael Utting gifted the Wolves the equaliser in the 77th minute.
Utting came off his line to clear a free kick only to find himself in no-man's land, blocked by his own defenders from reaching the ball.
The ball fell at the feet of Bobby Dragas, who made no mistake when presented with an open goal.
