The Football Kingz went down 0-2 to Newcastle United in the Australian National Soccer League last night.
Coming off the back of a respectable 1-1 draw against Brisbane mid-week, the Kingz struggled to create many scoring chances at EnergyAustralia Stadium and Newcastle deserved their win which lifts them back into the competition's top six.
Newcastle scored one goal in each half, with the first coming after half an hour of play when midfielder Mitchell Johnson rifled a 25m screamer past Kingz goalkeeper Tamati Williams.
Ten minutes into the second spell it became 2-0 thanks to a header from Craig Deans after a Newcastle corner.
