The Football Kingz are considering moving to Wellington.
Chief executive Chris Turner said the Auckland-based Australian National Soccer League franchise would investigate making Wellington's WestpacTrust Stadium their permanent home next season.
"Wellington is certainly a viable, long-term option," Turner said.
"We've only made a commitment to Ericsson Stadium [in Auckland] until the end of the season and there is a strong school of support for moving permanently to Wellington. There is no time-line on this decision, but it is definitely something that is on the agenda and that will be looked at as soon as we start planning for next season."
The revelation comes as the Kingz prepare to face Sydney United at WestpacTrust Stadium on Friday night.
It is the first of two matches the Football Kingz will play in Wellington (the other against Marconi on March 16) after the club was thrilled to attract 9000 fans at short notice to their game against the Newcastle Breakers last season.
