A clinical display of set piece execution has seen New Zealand romp to a 10-0 win over New Caledonia at the Oceania under-20 soccer championship in Auckland.
Today's result has set up a semifinal for the Junior All Whites against Fiji on Wednesday.
Seven of New Zealand's goals came from corners, free kicks or long throws, with captain Nick Branch and his centre back partner James Musa cashing in with a hat-trick each.
Marco Rojas added two goals from open play inside the first 17 minutes, the second a curling shot from the edge of the area that picked out the top corner, while the 10th and final goal came from the penalty spot courtesy of Adam Thomas.
In Group A, Vanuatu posted their third win of the tournament, 5-2 against Papua New Guinea, to book a semifinal against the Solomon Islands while Fiji beat American Samoa 5-1 to sneak into the final four on goal difference.
