Former Auckland City footballer Keryn Jordan has passed away after a long fight with cancer.
A former South African international, Jordan and his young family moved to New Zealand in 2004, becoming a prolific goal scorer for Auckland City.
He scored 61 goals in 79 matches for the club, helping Auckland to three NZFC and two O-League titles before retiring in 2010.
Jordan returned to South Africa earlier this year to continue his treatment. He was 37.
South Africa coach Gordon Igesund sent Jordan a message last week and said he remembered the forward when he was a teenage player and Igesund the coach at Durban-based club Manning Rangers.
