next open goal shocker

goes viral that is.

According to reports his name is Anderson Fredrick and the unfortunate miscue came while playing in a lower league game in Venezuela.

After beating the goalie and facing an open goal, Fredrick could have left the ball alone to roll over the goal line. Instead he decided to attempt firing the ball into the back of the net from four metres out.

As you can see in the video below, it didn't quite go to plan and a regulation goal has become an internet hit.
