All Whites left back Ian Hogg has joined the Portland Timbers for the remainder of the Major League Soccer season.
The 22-year-old will link up with a Timbers roster that includes All White goalkeeper Jake Gleeson and is coached by former New Zealand international Gavin Wilkinson.
"Ian is a young, talented left back with good athleticism and a desire to succeed," Wilkinson told the Timbers' team website "We have signed him through the remainder of the season and look forward to closely evaluating him as we move to next season."
The Timbers are bottom of the Western Conference on 20 points with five wins, 12 losses and five draws from 22 games this season and have 12 outings left in their regular season campaign.
This year has been a memorable one for Hogg who competed at his second Olympic Games, won the O-League for a second time and earned his first call-up to the All Whites, scoring on debut against El Salvador.
